Why You Can’t Miss Hart Ranch’s End of Summer Bash

It’s been another outstanding summer here at Hart Ranch Camping Resort Club – in addition to the many fun moments spent in the sunshine, surrounded by the beautiful Black Hills, there have also been may long-lasting memories made throughout our resort. While we’re always a little sad to see the summer wind down, this year, we’re throwing an End of Summer Bash that will be the perfect wrap-up to a great season. Two Days of Fun

The End of Summer Bash takes place over Labor Day weekend: Saturday, September 2, and Sunday, September 3, 2023. Each day, festivities will take place between 3:00pm – 9:30pm. Entry for both days is FREE! Best of all? You don’t have to be a Hart Ranch member to take part in the celebration – the public is also invited to participate in our End of Summer Bash!

Hart Ranch Summer Concert Series Finale

Get ready to dance the evening away on Saturday and Sunday during live musical performances from Hot City Soul, Ethyl, Dakota Country, and 100 Proof! All summer long, Hart Ranch has hosted our weekly concert series featuring local and regional musicians of many different genres. No matter what kind of music you’re into, you’re sure to find yourself tapping your feet and swaying to the music in no time!

#1 – A Variety of Lodging Options

Whether you’re traveling with a large crew or are a party of two, you’ll find the perfect accommodations here at Hart Ranch. For those seeking a spacious, amenity-packed Black Hills RV Park, we offer full hook-up RV sites with 40’ and 50’ concrete slabs. All sites feature 50 amps of power, free cable TV, water and sewer. Our RV sites are also positioned to provide guests with adequate privacy and space so that they don’t feel overcrowded.

Hart Ranch also offers cabins that provide all of the comforts of home, including heat, air conditioning, bathroom with shower or tub/shower combination, cable TV, toaster, coffee maker, microwave, two-burner cooktop or stove/oven, refrigerator, linens and towels. Our cabins come in a range of sizes and sleep anywhere from 4 – 12 people. Both pet-friendly and non-pet cabin rentals are available, with a 2-pet maximum in place in all cabins.

Tent camping is also offered for those that would like to get a little closer to nature. All sites are perfectly even and level to make pitching your tent easier and to ensure you sleep comfortably. Tent sites are conveniently located near showers and restrooms to make that midnight bathroom run hassle-free.

No vacation is complete without fun activities to fill your time, and at Hart Ranch, you’ll have plenty of activities to choose from!

For families looking for things to do with the little ones, head to one of our playgrounds to enjoy the outdoors while the kids spend some energy! On those hot days, a visit to our Olympic-size outdoor pool with a separate children’s pool offers relief. We also offer Kamp Kool each summer to provide enriching activities for kids throughout the week. Rainy days are perfect for a day spent in our Family Rec Center, where you can partake in a little friendly competition with our pool, foosball, and air hockey tables.

Sports enthusiasts will love our tennis, basketball, and pickleball courts, as well as our softball field, pasture golf course, and disc golf course. We even offer bicycle rentals so you can take advantage of the many nearby trails!

Looking for some special time with your sweetie? Head to our hot tub for a soak! We also offer plenty of events for those 21 and over where you can enjoy a drink and socialize with other adults.

Hart Ranch Camping Resort Club is proud to be your destination for the best summer events around! Take in exciting rodeo action, enjoy tasty eats from local food trucks, and dance into the night with these upcoming Hart Ranch happenings: Freedom Festival Join us on Saturday, July 1st, 2023

Freedom Festival

Join us on Saturday, July 1st, 2023 for live music from two of the hottest acts in the Black Hills during our Freedom Festival! Gates open at 4pm and include the following events:

6pm – 7pm: Rowan Grace, who made it into the top 10 in last year’s season of NBC’s ‘The Voice’, performs
7pm – 7:30pm: Stage Switch – The perfect opportunity to grab a tasty snack or cold beverage!
7:15pm – 7:30pm: The Zirkiss Wild West Show hits the stage to entertain with a thrilling acrobatic performance
7:30pm – 9:30pm: Black Hills native Brandon Jones will entertain with country music that will get you stompin’ your feet

Arrive hungry, as there will be a variety of food trucks in attendance, including: Green Chili Shack, Black Hills Brick Oven Pizza, Gilligan’s, Sgt. Poppers, and Lil Coffee Cabin.

This event is open to the public. General admission tickets are $20, and VIP tickets are $50.

Wild West Wednesdays

The Wild West Wednesdays Rodeo Series returns to Hart Ranch for another year of bucking broncs, speedy barrel racers, and fierce bull-riders! The series takes place every Wednesday from June 28^th through August 16^th at the Hart Ranch Rodeo Arena, with gates opening at 5pm each night. In addition to rodeo fun, the event will also feature a mechanical bull for guests to try their hand at, as well as food trucks and vendors.

Seating is limited, so bringing a lawn chair is recommended.

Each Wild West Wednesdays features a theme. This year’s themes are:

June 28: Member Appreciation

July 5: Red, White & Blue Night

July 12: First Responders Night

July 19: Health Care Worker Appreciation Night

July 26: Farm/Rancher Appreciation Night

August 2: Vintage Cowboy Night

August 9: Bikers Night

August 16: Military Appreciation/Rapid City Rush

Summer Concert Series

Nothing says summer like an outdoor concert! Each Saturday through August, a live musical act will perform at the Hart Ranch Rodeo Arena. These concerts are open to the public and free, with the exception of our Freedom Festival on July 1^st and our End of Summer Bash on September 2^nd and 3^rd.

Witness the South Dakota Stache Bash

Whether or not you have a ‘stache, you’re sure to enjoy the Stache Bash! There is a $75 entry fee for those without a mustache, and a $50 fee for those with a mustache, with the $25 “No Stache Fines” going into a pot for the highest marked ride of the event. The event champion will take home a custom Tres Rios buckle – you don’t want to miss it!

Join in the Fun, Whether You’re a Hart Ranch Member or Not

That’s right – members and non-members alike are invited to Broncs & Bulls! Bring the family and all your friends to see why rodeos at Hart Ranch are a fan favorite that guests enjoy year after year. Admission is only $5 for Hart Ranch members and military, non-member adults are $15, and kids 12 and under get in free, making this an affordable outing for all!

Celebrate the Start of the Hart Ranch Rodeo Season

Broncs and Bulls isn’t Hart Ranch’s only action-packed rodeo event – the Wild West Wednesdays rodeo series will make its return June 28^th for another season of “yee’s” and “haw’s”! Grab your lawn chair and watch cowboys take on events like saddle bronc, bareback, and bull riding and cowgirls show off their speed on the barrels. Get to the rodeo grounds at 5pm for pre-rodeo treats including BBQ, food trucks, a beer garden, and live entertainment.

Family Movie & Pizza Nights

There’s no better way to start the week than by relaxing with a pizza and movie night! On Monday, March 13^th and Monday, March 27^th, join us in the Pavilion from 6pm – 8:30pm for a family-friendly movie feature and some delicious pizza from the Spring Creek Grille.

Tacos & Trivia Night

Show off your knowledge while enjoying some tasty tacos at our Tacos and Trivia event on Tuesday, March 21^st! Meet us at the Pavilion at 6pm to join in on the fun.

Texas Hold’Em Wednesdays

Put on your poker face and join us for Texas Hold’em on Wednesdays in the Lower Lodge from 6:30 – 8:30pm. There is no sign-up required for this event, but all participants must be 21 years of age or older. Cards will be dealt at 6:30pm sharp – be there or be square!

Friday Nights at the Ranch

Friday evenings are surf, turf, and feathers in the Pavilion! Hart Ranch members and non-members are welcome. Dinner is from 5pm – 8pm and includes your choice of entrée (beer battered cod fillets, Mandi’s secret recipe steak tips, or chicken marsala) served with hand-cut French fries or garlic mashed potatoes, Texas toast, and a side salad for only $15! We’ll have live entertainment as well as a cash bar with drink specials.

Weekend Breakfast at Spring Creek Grille

Fuel up before a weekend of fun at Spring Creek Grille! On Saturdays, we will be offering our full breakfast menu, and on Sundays, we will have our brunch buffet. Bring your family, your friends, and your appetite!

We will be providing childcare in the Family Rec Center on Saturday, February 11^th from 5pm – 10pm. Prices are $30 for the 1^st child and $20 for each additional child. A movie, pizza, and a drink will be provided.

Red Package – $160 + Tax

Pamper your sweetheart with our Red Package, which includes all the bells and whistles, including:

Dinner for two at our on-site restaurant Spring Creek Grille on February 11^th from 6pm – 10pm, where you’ll enjoy surf & turf with your choice of either a bacon-wrapped filet or Marry Me chicken for the turf. A cash bar will be available.
A one-night stay in a Colt II cabin or in Anderson Lodge.

Colt II cabins sleep 8 and feature a one room unit with a queen bed and sofa sleeper, as well as a loft with 2 full mattress. They contain a full kitchen with a stove/oven and refrigerator. Some pets are allowed in Colt II cabins and are an additional $20 per pet.

Anderson Lodge are motel-style units that sleep 4 and contain a queen bed in the bedroom and a sofa sleeper in the living room. Each unit also contains a 2-burner stovetop and refrigerator. There are no pets allowed in Anderson Lodge.

If you’re looking for a budget-friendly Valentine’s date option, our Pink Package is it! The package includes:
